FTP stands for " file transfer protocol." FTP is the internet's mechanism for transferring files between two computers. FTP allows you to get access & upload files stored in a directory on a hard drive on a remote computer connected to the internet.

How do I upload files to Prism via FTP?

If you do not already have an FTP program, these programs come in a self-extracting, self-installing download file. You must first download the self-extracting file to your hard drive. Then you run (double click) the downloaded file to install the program.

What information do I need in order to establish an FTP connection?

You will need an account, which consists of a user id and a password. If you would like to submit your files via FTP please contact us for an account. In addition to having an account, you need the following server address;

host / server address: ftp.prismcolorcorp.com
port: 21 (default on most FTP programs)

Is there anything else I need to know?

If you plan on sending a Quark collection, or a large number of files we prefer you stuff / zip them prior to uploading, that way you upload one file that contains everything you need to send us. If you do not already have such an application, they can be downloaded for free at the addresses below.
